30 Days of Night

In a sleepy, secluded Alaska town called Barrow, the sun sets and doesn't rise for over thirty consecutive days and nights. From the darkness, across the frozen wasteland, an evil will come that will bring the residents of Barrow to their knees. The only hope for the town is the Sheriff and Deputy, a husband and wife who are torn between their own survival and saving the town they love.

Now how is someone who loves the sick and twisted supposed to wait patiently for October to come around to see this movie??? I will be clinically and certifiably insane by that point. Remember nothing says good old fashioned family fun like living in a town of unleashed vampires during 30 days of darkness!!!

Now I am excited about this:

From acclaimed musician and filmmaker, Rob Zombie ("The Devil's Rejects," "House of 1000 Corpses") comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child named Michael Myers.

And this comes out August 31st! I will have to go and see it as a late birthday present to myself :)

I don't usually get that excited about those types of movies. I suppose if there was someone in my life who really liked them I would show more enthusiasm...but, nobody does here.
