Answering an Eternal Question!

Today is time to answer an eternal question!!!....

Why do women and men have 2 hands???

I don't know so much about picture number one in this house because I never use a credit card and rarely use the phone. As for picture number 2, well I see this daily in the house :) At least part of it is right **snicker**

Sorry guys but it rings so true! One hand on the Junk and the other on the Remote! I guess it would be a perfect world if the remote were shaped like a penis huh?

Pictures Make You Think Sometimes...

Here I was, at FlyInFox's Blog and he has this picture up....

Isn't it funny how sometimes seeing certain things can remind you of different things? Well seeing this picture along with what he wrote reminded me of an encounter I had about a year and a half ago.

Most of you who have visited my blog in the past know I use to work for a paint store. I loved that job!!! Mostly because it gave me a chance to deal with people directly and that is something I really enjoy.

Most of the people I met were very cool and always loaded with good stories to share. They would come in and hang out for sometimes an hour or more just to shoot the shit. It was fun! Well there was one guy who insisted on coming in that always made me want to run for the door. I can't recall his name but that is something I really never asked so whatever right?

Well let me describe this individual to you. First of all he smelled horribly! I am talking toxic rancid body odor. I would have called him PigPen but he was lacking the dirt cloud with every step he took. Secondly, he was always greasy. I seriously do not think this guy knew what a shower was let alone soap. As for a washing machine, well I think he was stuck in a fantasy world that did not believe in actually washing clothing. Very frightening!

For whatever reason this "thing" always felt the need to hit on me. And it wasn't just the comments he would make but it was the looks he would make and the fact whenever he wanted to talk he would get about 2 inches from my face and smile with his missing teeth and bad breath. (Crap... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit!)

Anyway, the one thing that stuck out the most was this......

I don't really have a problem with body hair but this was ridiculous. It was like talking to Chewbacca! And he would always reach his arm around and rub it while he was talking to me. You would think he would wear a shirt to cover the carpet but instead he would wear those most ever attractive wife-beaters....

So there you have it. Thank you so much FlyInFox for hashing up old scary memories of what we woman want and what we tend to get :) I think I shall send you a cyber-asskicking!!!

Don't get confused, you are the one getting the kickin' in this pic :)

***snickering loudly***

Have a fantastic Night everyone!

I Am A Huge Slacker!!!

Okay, I realize I have been a huge slacker when it comes to blogging lately but I have just let so many things take up my time. Work... Family... Playing... and MySpace. Yes I said it.. MySpace!

I swore I would never do MySpace but as it happens so many friends and family members have pages so I had to create one. My user name is MisguidedChalice for those of you who have accounts. My account is set to private so you would have to send a request and let me approve you. Sorry but I decided to set that one up that way for a multitude of reasons which I will not go into here...

Now I am going to try and balance out the two. This should be interesting to say the least.

Michael and I had a wonderful Birthday!!! We ended up just eating at Red Lobster because of our infatuation and love of Seafood. I swear to God I could eat that stuff for the rest of my life and never grow tired of it.

The other night we attended my youngest sister's 30th Birthday Party. Talk about fun!!! Her husbands family rented out a bar for the night so we had the whole place to ourselves. The picture of Michael and I is from the party. About 40 people came, including my parents which blew me away considering how loud and smokey the place was. They aren't big drinkers and they quit smoking over 20 years ago so I was surprised to see them stay a good 5 hours. And lets not forget the music. No Air Supply was playing so I know my mother wasn't fond of any of it!! **snicker** Here are some pics from the party....

My sister Maggie and her husband Phil.

Maggies Cake... Yes its a Barbie Princess Cake.....

Michael and my sister Cindy

Me and my sisters...

Maggie and myself

My brother-in-law Doug.. He looks a little too comfy in the tiara.

Part of the aftermath. So many many many drinks!!!

Now I have to take a moment to apologize to NV!!! We were invited over to NV's house for a barbeque yesterday and because of my alcohol consumption the night before at the party, I did not make it. Why NV keeps me as a friend I will never know but I am glad she does. And she doesn't even charge me for it. That's right you heard me.. I DO NOT have to PAY her contrary to what anyone thinks! NV.. I am sorry!!! I didn't plan on drinking and being there as long as we did but it happened and I paid the price. Believe me on that one! Just know I love you and I will see you soon! I promise!!!

As for everything else in our lives, well, they are quite good. I still love Michael to death. My son has switched schools and is actually appearing to be having a good year. That makes me happy since he was having a rough go of it this time last year. It's kind of funny because he has my science teacher from 25+ years ago. And to think she remembers who I am. She told my son I was an excellent Science Student??!!! I can't say I remember that. After all, she is the teacher who put myself and another girl in her coat closet for talking in class too much!! **snicker** Can you believe that? I was actually in the closet.. LITERALLY!!! Too damn funny!! But I came out and I even passed her class so I guess it wasn't all that bad!

Okay I promise to be a better blogger... I won't post everyday but I will do my best to do a weekly post! Life is so busy anymore its hard to make the time.

Take care everyone and I hope you have a truly Fantabulous Day!

xoxo

Monday

Just a Good Thought....

Lately, I have been having entirely too much fun! Wait! That doesn't sound right? How can I have too much fun? Honestly, I don't think there is such a thing......

So I will start over....

Lately, I have been having So Much Fun!!!

Life is so crazy. There are so many things happening in my life lately that most people would run screaming down the street pulling their hair out as they go. I do need to correct part of that statement..... Our lives have been that way. I have to mention Michael and my son in that because they are as affected by everything as much as I am. Besides, we are a family and families deal with everything together right???

But regardless of how crazy, monotonous, hard or whatever other descriptive word you can find to call life I am just happy as hell because we have managed (and pretty darn good if you ask me) to stay focused and positive. We have found the fun in each other.

It doesn't matter if Michael is doing some crazy ass jig in the middle of the living room floor or my son is telling one of his off the wall jokes, its always fun.

There was a time when my outlet of fun was sitting on this computer. It didn't matter what I was doing it was my source of entertainment.

Now things are different.

I share my life with someone who makes the world fun. He is silly and unique. The bottom-line is this... Michael is himself.

He spends time with myself and my son. What else could we ask for?

Now don't get me wrong, I still love getting on the computer from time to time, but nothing like before. I use to spend hours and hours on the computer every day but now, not even close. I have a great family to occupy my mind and time.

And you know what? For the first time in a long time, I truly believe all of us are happy.

I refuse to sugar coat it all though. I won't make you think we are some perfect sitcom family because its far from it. We have our moments of sadness and tension. But who doesn't? We have just kept in mind that none of that really matters as long as you have family and friends who love and care about you. We make it through the rough times by talking about and then making sure we laugh afterwards.

There once was a time when I hated life but guess what? I love it now more than ever.... And believe it or not, happiness really isn't that hard to get. You just need to sit back and enjoy the world around you. Take it in and try not to miss a thing. But most of all, try and make it fun. Be silly. Act the fool on occasion! And always smile :)

These are a couple of picture from when we went down to Crown Center weekend before last. A day when fun and silliness reigned supreme!

Sunday

Just a Really Incredibly Fun Day

It's been awhile since we have gone out, with no plan of doing anything at all and had a really good time.

So around 3:30 yesterday I had planned on going grocery shopping at a couple of different stores and that was it. Well in turn we ended up driving all over town with the camera snapping pictures and we had a wonderful time.

My son tried to get out of going with us, but Michael and I drug him along.... and much to his surprise, he had a ton of fun. The only thing everyone needs to know about Michael is simply this, no matter what he is doing he makes sure it is the best time he could ever possibly have. He lives by the rule that life is too short to not make the most of everything you do. Always laugh and always smile.... And now that my son and myself are seeing this everyday, its nice to just let go of all of the rules and have a good time.

The best thing about driving around with no plan and a camera is you really see some incredible things.

The first place we went to was the Chinatown Food Market by the City Market area of downtown.

I love going to this place. You see the craziest and coolest items. Not to mention that everything is fairly cheaply priced for the amount you get. I ended up buying some crawfish which ended up with us having a huge crawfish boil last night. Talk about some damn good food. I love food that lets you get messy so this was perfect... I also ended up buying some LoMein Noodles and meat filled Dumplings... Damn I love this food....

However, its just fun walking around and looking at all of the imported items and then heading to the back of the store where they have the live seafood. My son couldn't decide whether to be really grossed out by everything he saw or just be in complete awe... It was hilarious...

After leaving there we drove around for awhile. We saw everything from graffiti and murals on buildings to a Ferrari that my son is convinced shall one day be his.

We ended up down at Crown Center and Union Station. My son had not been there in years so we went everywhere. First it was into the Crayola Store where we played with some colors and made some pictures....

We ended up in everything from stores with nothing but model trains, to toy stores and candy stores.

Then we left and wandered through the sky walk tunnels. My son was in a world of his own and I loved it. He has been stuck in a world that is filled with a computer, a telephone and tons of girls calling my house. This was good for him... He got out and saw the world and loved it...

Did I mention that Michael likes to pick up on hot chicks in my presence???

***SNICKERING***
Pickin' up on Cardboard Chicks....

Now back to the post at hand....

Opening your eyes and looking at the world around you is a good thing. It can make you appreciate what you have and give you a yearning for the things you don't have. It can make you realize how good you have it and how lucky you are to have the people in your life that you do have. It makes you thankful to simply wake up each and every day and just breathe....

We had a truly great time yesterday and these pictures here are only a sampling of it all. My life is a good one. Yes its filled with chaos and craziness from time to time, but hey... I smile, I laugh and I love..... It's all good :)

Thursday

Hey? What You Know Good?

Okay... I know I have been gone... I have been off doing all sorts of things and have neglected my blog and I'm sorry! Blogger please forgive me! I did not mean to push you to the side and not update regularly as I should!

Life has been busy!

but...

Life has also been a mixed bag of craziness, frustration and excitement... but its all good :)

Michael and I are going through quite a bit these days. Some of it good. Some of it not-so-good. However, he and I are closer than we have ever been so I will just sum everything up by saying all-in-all, life is wonderful and its only getting better!

My new work hours are good for me. I am not getting home until late and after sitting at a computer all day long the last thing I ever think about doing is getting on this thing and typing. Yes, this blog has always been the best stress relief but my new job actually takes care of alot of that for me so anymore, I come home happy as hell. And then all I wanna do is spend my time with Michael. Did I mention I love this man?? **snicker**

Thankfully, I haven't missed out on any of my shows because he records them for me.

American Idol is about to piss me off.. Sanjaya?? Why is this little boy still on this show?? That's it, I'm nauseous...

I heard a commercial last night for one of my sinful indulgences... Big Brother... Its going on its 8th season and is wanting people to audition. I am trying to talk Michael into doing it. He would be so much fun to watch on tv.... Besides he is a little off-kilter....wait....back up... he is crazy and would fit right on in with the madness which is Big Brother :)

Okay I just wanted to update you guys a little bit but I ended off talking gibberish. **sigh** Everyone, thank you for stopping by and checking in on me... It made me smile :)

I will be back this weekend. Probably do some of the webcam stuff... Im kinda missin' it...

xoxoxoxo

a comic strip!

HA!!! It was my turn!!! :)

Just for the record everyone.. I have decided to quit posting all of the mushy stuff about Blu and I on this blog.. So what did I do? I created a new blog to post nothing but that. So if you really care about reading the mushy stuff, click HERE!!! But just remember that doesn't mean I won't rip on him here because I WILL!!! Because I can and there is nothing he can do about it!

Friday

Happy Birthday NV!!!

I wanted to take a minute to say something to one of my dearest friends in the world....

Happy Birthday NV!!!

Just so you know, I went on a mission to find you a cake! I even thought I found the perfect one because it came complete with a boxing glove which I thought you could always use around the house incase Mr. NV gets outta line or even Blu when he is there...cuz a girl has to have her weapons you know...

But I tried to get the cake and apparently it was meant for Jared because he kicked my ass and I left empty handed....

So I tried NV.. I really did! That's okay, when that Jared goes to sleep his ass is mine....And so is that fucking cake...

Everyone Sing it with me...

Happy Birthday To You..
Happy Birthday To You..
Happy Birthday Dear NVVVVVVVVVVV....
Happy Birthday To You...

Have a Great Day NV... You know I love you :)

Giggles and Fights

...my eyes are puffy...

...my brain is mushy...

Being overly exhausted is never fun! I can hear my bed screaming my name from the other room but I just can't jump in it at the moment. If I do, I will be up in the middle of the night and I can't have that.

Wait.. The pillows and blankets have joined in..... They are singing the "come to bed" song...

See, lack of sleep causes you to become insane :) The minute you hear your bedroom summoning you, you know you have issues!

At least I am giddy! Right now everything is funny!

I remember being a kid. My sisters and I (I have 2 younger sisters, Cindy and Maggie) would drive our parents crazy by getting the uncontrollable giggles. My mother would get so pissed off but there was nothing she could do to stop us. The more she yelled, begged, pleaded, threaten or whatever for us to stop, it only got worse. You would have thought after it happening so frequently should would have just given up but she never did.

Funny thing is my sister and I still do that on occasion. Only this time we torture our co-workers instead of our mother. There has been a time or two I have tortured Blu with the giggles. Makes me wonder whats going through his mind when I get like that... Hmmmm???? **pondering**

Okay done pondering...

It always seemed that we managed to get the giggles when we were all locked in the car going somewhere as a family. All mom could do was turn around and say, "Damn it Girls! Knock that shit off!"

Dad would just sit there, driving, trying to ignore us. But after a while of hearing our mother yell at us you would see dad's face turn red and then he would puff his cheeks out while clinching the steering wheel. He would grip it so hard you could almost see his knuckles turning white. Within a minute of two of that you would see him start looking at us with the death glare in the rear-view mirror. And when that didn't work, he would threaten to take us all home.

That would only work for so long because then we would giggle with our mouths locked shut and our faces cracking huge smiles. We were laughing so hard our stomachs and faces would hurt like hell. Let's face it, once the giggling started, it had to wear itself off. It just couldn't be turned off.

And God forbid we look at each other while this is going on. That would cause all sorts of chaos! The laughter would break loose and it was then we knew we were in for it.

Sadly, my father was forced to live with 4 women. He had no sons. He was cursed with daughters. **sigh** I look back now and realize we should have eased up on the poor guy!

But when you are young that is the last thing you think about. You don't realize how hard it was on the guy. I should apologize shouldn't I????

I mean he had to deal with bitchy moods, constant arguing and fighting, multiple periods (yes I am referring to that monthly visit from aunt flow), boys calling the house at all hours of the night. The sassy, know it all attitudes should have sent him to the funny farm but he survived! What a trooper!

The fights I had with my sisters were always huge. I was the oldest and pretty much kicked ass whenever I felt the need. It seemed we always fought the most when the parental units were gone and they were pretty much out of control.

There was a day when all 3 of us got into it. We were screaming at each other. Every single 4 letter word we could articulate came flying out like baseballs from a pitching machine. Then came the hitting and hair pulling. Cindy got so pissed at Maggie that while Maggie was standing there in a towel after getting out the shower, she ripped the towel from her and threw her outside the front door and locked it. Maggie stood out there screaming and banging to get in while Cindy blocked me from the door to keep me from letting Maggie in. I ended up getting ahold of Cindy and finally tossing her out of the way and got the door open for Maggie. The damage was already done. Maggie was horrified. Poor girl was crying so hard I thought she would hyperventilate. Cindy thought it was funny so then I had to beat her ass.... **sigh**

Once, I punched Cindy in the gut so hard once she went flying back into a bean bag chair. Her eyes then rolled back in her head where you could only see the whites of her eyes, lost her breath and then threw up. Then she didn't move. I kept reaching out and shaking her shoulder. I refused to touch her anywhere else because of the vomit all over the place (come on...what sister wants to touch that stuff even if she was the one who caused it???) but she still didn't move. It freaked me out so bad that I went upstairs and told my parents I thought I killed her. My mom about lost her mind on that one.

Cindy got back at me a few years later. I had just finished getting ready to go out with my friends. I had showered, done my hair and make up. Put on some really kick ass clothes. Damn I was ready to go and do some damage! Well Cindy said something I didn't like as I was getting ready to walk up the stairs so I went chasing after her. She made it to the kitchen, grabbed the Dishwashing liquid off the sink, turned around and squeezed it at me just as I made it to the top of the stairs. That shit first hit my hair. Back then the thing was to have big hair so when that stuff hit it, my hair flattened but only it one part so it looked like I had a reverse Mohawk. Then it ran down my face, ruining my make-up and getting in my eyes and coated my clothes. It took hours to get my eyes to stop stinging. Needless to say, I didn't make it out that night. For the longest time you could see where the carpet was stained from the dishwashing liquid hitting it. Nothing like seeing ugly green shaggy carpet with a huge trail of Palmolive all over it.

Damn those were the days.... I think I may just go to work tomorrow and punch Cindy for kicks.... :)

From reading this you would probably think we hate each other but in reality, we are all very very close and the best of friends :) I love my sisters...

Sharing Life With A Crazy Man I Love

To make a story long short, I love sharing my life with a crazy man! I have to say there is never a dull moment in my life anymore. Between the singing in the shower (which is hysterical) and the dancing around the living room I am filled with a constant entertainment that leaves me smiling from ear to ear.

Tonight we have had entirely too much fun! We have been drinking quite a bit of wine this evening and listening to some great music while doing it. So I decided to drag out the camera and post some pics of my insanely fun man in action.

Don't make me kick your ass! Cuz I just might do it! Move Over Rocky Balboa :)

The Free Dance of Insanity Spills Forth Into Our Living Room

Don't point that camera at me woman!

This is his rendition of Blu Steel from Zoolander. Can't wait to see LaTigra next :)

Party At The Parents House

drunk·en - druhng-kuhn] intoxicated, drunk, given to drunkenness. Pertaining to, caused by, or marked by intoxication.

par·ty
- [pahr-tee] A social gathering, as of invited guests at a private home, for conversation, refreshments, entertainment, etc.

I was always one who was really bad at having parties at my parents house when they weren't home for the weekend. I only did it then because I knew they were a few hundred miles away at our lake house so there was never the danger of them just casually walking in on anything plus it gave me plenty of time to clean up after all was said and done.

I had way too many of those. Actually it was pretty much a few times a month during my high school years while we were out on summer vacation.

It was always me and my best friend Jamie along with numerous others. The crowd was never the same either. Always someone new.

If I could only count the number of crazy things that happened. A ceiling fan being yanked from the ceiling in my parents room (that was me doing that....I went to turn it on and pulled the cord too hard and the bastard fell from the ceiling right onto my parents bed....They never said a word), trash bags full of empty alcohol bottles that no one ever seemed to notice, cops coming to the house on a couple of occasions because of too many cars parked on the street and the noise from everyone, watered down bottles of really old scotch of my dad's that we raided.

I could go on and on but why??? You pretty much get the idea right?

Now there was this one time where we actually had a party with my parents right there in the house. I sit back and think about it now and cannot believe I really managed to pull it off.

I was 16 and it was a Saturday night. I had told my parents that Jamie was going to come over along with a few other people. They were always really cool with my friends coming over and hanging out. They figured if I was there how much could I actually do wrong??? Wow.. Talk about being completely mistaken....

As some of you may remember from my previous posts, I had the coolest bedroom in the world with its own outside access. Well its really easy to sneak in the booze when you have a door right next to your bed so that's exactly what we did.

In came the wine coolers and cases of beer.

We sat there in my room drinking for a couple of hours then for whatever reason, we fanned out into the rest of the house. My parents had already gone to sleep and seemed completely oblivious as to what was really going on and considering we were all fairly intoxicated we paid no mind to the fact they were even in the house to begin with.

So upstairs we went. I remember through my alcohol induced haze we were very very loud but I didn't anyone to quiet down at all. Some of the guys hit the fridge for food while others ended up outside on the deck to smoke and drink some more.

By the end of the night everyone was totally trashed. Jamie was vomiting off the side of the deck. Her boyfriend fell down the stairs and busted his forehead. A friend of ours ended up peeing his pants. Hell I damn near did too from laughing so hard. Guys and girls were making out all over the place. Just your run of the mill chaotic teenage party fun.

Here is the kicker....

Around midnight we decided it was time to call it quits. Jamie and her boyfriend needed a ride back to her house and I knew I couldn't drive. So what did I do? I went and woke up my mother and asked to take them home.

Mom gets up and gets dressed. She never says a word when every piles into the back of her mini-van and takes everyone home.

I am still amazed. How did she not know???

Now before you all go thinking I was this absolutely horrid girl, I did fess up. But only after my father went into my room and found a trash bag full of empty bottles. That was a nice day... Notice the sarcasm??? I got ripped apart but I ended up admitting to everything. I felt it was the right thing to do.

The question is this... Did it ever stop me from having another party??? Nope.. It sure didn't. But over the years since I moved out I have confessed to many a things I have done. My mother cringes and always says she doesn't want to hear it. My father shakes his head, his face filled with a mixture of jealously and disgust.

Not only did I admit to everything but I also replaced all of the watered down alcohol of my fathers. See.. I tried to make amends! I'm really not that bad of a girl :)

Now that I am grown with a 13 year old son I know I have to be on my guard and pay attention at all times! I know they say everything you have done will come back 10 fold through your children so does that mean I am in for it or what???
