Pictures Make You Think Sometimes...

Here I was, at FlyInFox's Blog and he has this picture up....

Isn't it funny how sometimes seeing certain things can remind you of different things? Well seeing this picture along with what he wrote reminded me of an encounter I had about a year and a half ago.

Most of you who have visited my blog in the past know I use to work for a paint store. I loved that job!!! Mostly because it gave me a chance to deal with people directly and that is something I really enjoy.

Most of the people I met were very cool and always loaded with good stories to share. They would come in and hang out for sometimes an hour or more just to shoot the shit. It was fun! Well there was one guy who insisted on coming in that always made me want to run for the door. I can't recall his name but that is something I really never asked so whatever right?

Well let me describe this individual to you. First of all he smelled horribly! I am talking toxic rancid body odor. I would have called him PigPen but he was lacking the dirt cloud with every step he took. Secondly, he was always greasy. I seriously do not think this guy knew what a shower was let alone soap. As for a washing machine, well I think he was stuck in a fantasy world that did not believe in actually washing clothing. Very frightening!

For whatever reason this "thing" always felt the need to hit on me. And it wasn't just the comments he would make but it was the looks he would make and the fact whenever he wanted to talk he would get about 2 inches from my face and smile with his missing teeth and bad breath. (Crap... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit!)

Anyway, the one thing that stuck out the most was this......

I don't really have a problem with body hair but this was ridiculous. It was like talking to Chewbacca! And he would always reach his arm around and rub it while he was talking to me. You would think he would wear a shirt to cover the carpet but instead he would wear those most ever attractive wife-beaters....

So there you have it. Thank you so much FlyInFox for hashing up old scary memories of what we woman want and what we tend to get :) I think I shall send you a cyber-asskicking!!!

Don't get confused, you are the one getting the kickin' in this pic :)

***snickering loudly***

Have a fantastic Night everyone!

Monday

I am an Addict in DESPERATE need of a Support Group

Damn what a weekend!

I know I am not alone when I say this, but Weekends are so precious to me. I don't mind working but it's always nice to have those days where I can stay up as late as I want and sleep in the next day. And that is exactly what happens around here.

Michael and I will usually stay up until the wee hours of the morning watching movies or listening to his 2 million songs he has on his computer. Okay it's not quite 2 million but he is working on it slowly but surely.

This weekend was really nice. We had the entire house to ourselves this weekend. My son went and stayed over at my sister's house to hang out with my nephew.

So what did Michael and I do? Well I would tell you but then I would have to kill you for fear you would tell everyone..... Kidding.... Or am I???

Doesn't that make it sound like we did all sorts of top secret things?? **snicker** Maybe we were?

Seriously, we did what made us happy which is simply spend time with each other. We do that anyway all of the time but it always a little more special when there are no other voices around.

So we ended up pretty much having an unlimited movie watching weekend. Here is the run down...

The Departed.... Great movie with Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlburg.

Superman Returns.... I wasn't sure how this one would be considering there was no Christopher Reeves but I actually liked it. Okay someone at work told this joke the other day and even though it's in the extreme realm of bad taste, I am going to post it anyway.

What is the opposite of Christopher Reeves? ***Starting in with the Jeopardy Music*** and the answer is.... What is Christopher Walken?? Okay.... Okay bad joke but funny as hell :) Christopher Walken! You get it right???

Deja Vu.... This movie was a trip! It went in places I really didn't think it would!

The Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift.... I love watching movies with great driving. Maybe it's because I know deep inside that I could drive just like that. Hell what am I talking about? I can see myself behind the wheel of a Nascar that's how much I love to drive!

And how can I forget the shining star of all of the movies we watched???

The Death of a Cheerleader.... This incredible little tale was the workings of the Lifetime Movie Network and stars Kelly Martin and Tori Spelling. If I tell you about the movie it will give it away so I will put it this way, Tori Spelling plays a character named Stacy Lockwood who is the type of person who is very popular in school because her family has money and because she is a mean bitch. She spends her time making fun of others to make herself look good. Kelly Martin plays Angela Delvecchio. Poor Angela has it bad. She is not popular and not the most beautiful girl in the world and her ambition is to simply be popular and well liked so she chooses Stacy to model her life after and tries to become her friend until things go horribly wrong! Now I cannot divulge anything else here because it would give it away. Just know this movie is based on a true story and will leave you going "Wow! So this is what happens when you are a mega bitch to those less fortunate than yourself!" I decided to do a little research on the story and found out the real names of people were Kristen Costas "Stacey Lockwood" and Bernadette Prutti, "Angela Delvecchio". Damn peer pressure is a fucking bitch! If you care to read the actual story, click here.

See with me going on this little verbal rampage, I now must tell you that I am an addict. That's right. I am addicted to the Lifetime Movie Network. They always sucker me in with their movies based on real facts. Hell just the other day, I was watching "Small Sacrifices" which is the story of psycho crazy lady Diane Downs who kills her children to get a man. Fucking Loon! And who stars as Diane Downs you may ask? Farrah Fawcett! It's such a good movie that I actually recorded it so I could watch it again. I am soooooooo pathetic!

And what is on my television screen right now? Try the Lifetime Movie Network! And what movie is on you may be wondering? "When Andrew Came Home". This is a movie about a child who comes home after being kidnapped by his abusive father for 5 years.

See how bad this is? I seriously need some help! I cannot even begin to tell you how much of my life has been spent staring at the flickering light box, aka the television, completely immersed in the world of Lifetime Movies. If I sat here and really thought about it, I could probably come up with a list of a couple hundred movies I know I have watched but that wouldn't compare to a list I could make if I could remember them all.

Oh GOD! Why hast thou forsaken me? Why hast thou brought forth LMN into my life?

So I guess I have to do a 12 step program or something. I need to get up to the podium in front of everyone and say it just like this.

"Hello everyone... My name is Chalice and I am a Lifetime movie addict. It all began some 5 years ago while working at my best friend NaughtyVoyeur's house. NV allowed me to watch her satellite television while I worked and it was because of this, that slowly but surely, I became addicted to the Lifetime Movie Network. It started off relatively slow. Just a movie here and there but then it became an every day thing. I had to get my Movie fix. I had to see who was going to die or what severe ailment one had just so I could make it through my day. It's to the point where I turn that station on when I get up daily just to see what is going to be on and whether or not I should record something while I am at work. There have even been weekends where I went on binges of doing nothing but watching movie after movie after movie. So I say this, 'Lifetime Movie Network, you may think you have won but you have not! I refuse to allow my life to be overrun by you and your made-for-tv movies anymore! No more will I watch movies about Death, Rape, Who is the Daddy, I have Scleroderma, My daughter is a prostitute, I want to dance so bad I gave myself Bulemia, I am not pretty and popular so its everyone else's fault, My husband killed my daughter because he has Multiple Personality Disorder, Someone stole my baby and we got blamed when it was all an elaborate baby buying scheme and I killed for a man! That's right Lifetime! You will not have me as your Movie-Watching Slave anymore!' Well wait, there is a good one on now so I will check back with all of you later and fill you in on my progress of beating this nasty addiction!"

And that is when I run for the door, jump into my car and head home to veg out on my couch and curl up with a good movie! Does anyone have any popcorn? I think I am running out!

So can anyone help save me from the Beast that is "The Lifetime Movie Network"??? That's right I called it the beast! I think we have found the identity of the Anti-Christ!

Reality

Reality..

This is one of those words which is kind of like a double edged sword. Sometimes reality is good and sometimes it's bad. The only problem is you just never know which one is going to hit you at any given moment.

Today my reality is blurred.

Today my reality is not good.

Today my reality sucks.

Last night Michael and I were having a great time together. We sat and watched some TV and just enjoyed each others company. I love spending time with him. He always makes things fun and exciting. He has a unique perspective on life and everything in the world around him and that is one of the main reasons I fell head over heels in love with the man.

Around 9:30 last night Michael told me he was feeling nauseated and he felt like he could get sick. It concerned me a little bit because he hasn't been feeling very good since his move up here last month. Unfortunately, with him having diabetes I think the stress of the move and the change in climate has really done a number on my baby. We both feel as time passes it will get better.

However, a few minutes later he ended up getting sick. Now this is when I began to get a little more worried. I know how much he hates to get sick and I also know that does not happen very often.

And then he got sick again...

And again...

And again...

About an hour and a half later, after trying to do everything possible to stabilize him he begged me to call an ambulance. I did. At 11:15 last night the EMT's were in my home and basically telling him there was nothing they could do other than take him to the hospital.

Since the hospital is literally 3 blocks from my house, the EMT's helped get him into my car and off to the hospital we went.

Last night was scary for me. I know it was nothing compared to what Michael's body is going through but it was still scary. There was nothing I could do for him except try everything I possibly could to make him feel comfortable. The amount of pain he was in was unbearable. He was sweating so much from his body temperature fluctuating so much that his clothes looked as though he had gone swimming in them. The uncontrollable vomiting was so violent. After doing it so much everything that came up was nothing but blood.

I was lost. I couldn't help the one person in the world I love above everyone else. I had to sit there and watch. It hurt. It hurt so fucking bad.

I think God is tired of hearing from me. I think he is tired of me begging to make him better. But guess what God? I am not going to stop.... I can't.... I need him well... He needs to be well....

I seriously do not know how much more his body can take. He has been through so much in his life and knowing this makes me worry all the more. Michael is strong. Oh my God he is unbelievably strong but his body???

Pretty much all I can say is they have decided to keep him. They have not told me what is going on with him as they really do not know themselves. I have been told there will be lots of testing he will be going through. When I know more I will post it here.

Please cross your fingers...say a prayer... whatever you can... He would never in a million years admit it, but he needs it....

Giggles and Fights

...my eyes are puffy...

...my brain is mushy...

Being overly exhausted is never fun! I can hear my bed screaming my name from the other room but I just can't jump in it at the moment. If I do, I will be up in the middle of the night and I can't have that.

Wait.. The pillows and blankets have joined in..... They are singing the "come to bed" song...

See, lack of sleep causes you to become insane :) The minute you hear your bedroom summoning you, you know you have issues!

At least I am giddy! Right now everything is funny!

I remember being a kid. My sisters and I (I have 2 younger sisters, Cindy and Maggie) would drive our parents crazy by getting the uncontrollable giggles. My mother would get so pissed off but there was nothing she could do to stop us. The more she yelled, begged, pleaded, threaten or whatever for us to stop, it only got worse. You would have thought after it happening so frequently should would have just given up but she never did.

Funny thing is my sister and I still do that on occasion. Only this time we torture our co-workers instead of our mother. There has been a time or two I have tortured Blu with the giggles. Makes me wonder whats going through his mind when I get like that... Hmmmm???? **pondering**

Okay done pondering...

It always seemed that we managed to get the giggles when we were all locked in the car going somewhere as a family. All mom could do was turn around and say, "Damn it Girls! Knock that shit off!"

Dad would just sit there, driving, trying to ignore us. But after a while of hearing our mother yell at us you would see dad's face turn red and then he would puff his cheeks out while clinching the steering wheel. He would grip it so hard you could almost see his knuckles turning white. Within a minute of two of that you would see him start looking at us with the death glare in the rear-view mirror. And when that didn't work, he would threaten to take us all home.

That would only work for so long because then we would giggle with our mouths locked shut and our faces cracking huge smiles. We were laughing so hard our stomachs and faces would hurt like hell. Let's face it, once the giggling started, it had to wear itself off. It just couldn't be turned off.

And God forbid we look at each other while this is going on. That would cause all sorts of chaos! The laughter would break loose and it was then we knew we were in for it.

Sadly, my father was forced to live with 4 women. He had no sons. He was cursed with daughters. **sigh** I look back now and realize we should have eased up on the poor guy!

But when you are young that is the last thing you think about. You don't realize how hard it was on the guy. I should apologize shouldn't I????

I mean he had to deal with bitchy moods, constant arguing and fighting, multiple periods (yes I am referring to that monthly visit from aunt flow), boys calling the house at all hours of the night. The sassy, know it all attitudes should have sent him to the funny farm but he survived! What a trooper!

The fights I had with my sisters were always huge. I was the oldest and pretty much kicked ass whenever I felt the need. It seemed we always fought the most when the parental units were gone and they were pretty much out of control.

There was a day when all 3 of us got into it. We were screaming at each other. Every single 4 letter word we could articulate came flying out like baseballs from a pitching machine. Then came the hitting and hair pulling. Cindy got so pissed at Maggie that while Maggie was standing there in a towel after getting out the shower, she ripped the towel from her and threw her outside the front door and locked it. Maggie stood out there screaming and banging to get in while Cindy blocked me from the door to keep me from letting Maggie in. I ended up getting ahold of Cindy and finally tossing her out of the way and got the door open for Maggie. The damage was already done. Maggie was horrified. Poor girl was crying so hard I thought she would hyperventilate. Cindy thought it was funny so then I had to beat her ass.... **sigh**

Once, I punched Cindy in the gut so hard once she went flying back into a bean bag chair. Her eyes then rolled back in her head where you could only see the whites of her eyes, lost her breath and then threw up. Then she didn't move. I kept reaching out and shaking her shoulder. I refused to touch her anywhere else because of the vomit all over the place (come on...what sister wants to touch that stuff even if she was the one who caused it???) but she still didn't move. It freaked me out so bad that I went upstairs and told my parents I thought I killed her. My mom about lost her mind on that one.

Cindy got back at me a few years later. I had just finished getting ready to go out with my friends. I had showered, done my hair and make up. Put on some really kick ass clothes. Damn I was ready to go and do some damage! Well Cindy said something I didn't like as I was getting ready to walk up the stairs so I went chasing after her. She made it to the kitchen, grabbed the Dishwashing liquid off the sink, turned around and squeezed it at me just as I made it to the top of the stairs. That shit first hit my hair. Back then the thing was to have big hair so when that stuff hit it, my hair flattened but only it one part so it looked like I had a reverse Mohawk. Then it ran down my face, ruining my make-up and getting in my eyes and coated my clothes. It took hours to get my eyes to stop stinging. Needless to say, I didn't make it out that night. For the longest time you could see where the carpet was stained from the dishwashing liquid hitting it. Nothing like seeing ugly green shaggy carpet with a huge trail of Palmolive all over it.

Damn those were the days.... I think I may just go to work tomorrow and punch Cindy for kicks.... :)

From reading this you would probably think we hate each other but in reality, we are all very very close and the best of friends :) I love my sisters...
