Cuz BD Asked....

So I went to BarDouble's blog to as usual read about her crazy life and was asked if I wanted to answer some questions she came up with about my life. Well, cuz I ain't scared I said Yeppers! So here are the questions I was asked and their answers.....

1. You are given 1 million dollars to plan a Bloggers get-together. Tell us where, when and what your party is all about.

Hmmmm... A Million Dollars is soooooooo much money! I think I would have to find a way to rent an Island somewhere out in the Pacific for a week during the month of August, preferably around my birthday so it could be a duel bash!!! **snicker, don't forget the gifts!** It would just be a kick ass time with all of the food and tasty beverages one could ask for in the tranquility and seclusion of paradise. If it wasn't possible to rent an island, then I would have to try and get the Stanley Hotel in Colorado, the one where they filmed the movie "The Shining" for a week. They say that place is haunted so those of you who know me know I would be getting pretty intoxicated while doing some ghost hunting :) Regardless of which place, it would be a tremendous time!

2. We all know you LOVE your man! Tell us where you met and how you fell in love.

Oh wow! I love this story. Well Michael and I actually met online. Yep. You can actually meet people online and fall completely and totally head over heels in love with them! Here is how is happened. I started blogging in January of 2006 and one day while hitting that little 'next blog' button at the top of the screen I came across a blog called '6:19' which Michael had put together. The point of the blog was about a man with insomnia who made 2 posts everyday and they happened to be a 6:19 each time. Interesting I thought! I read 2 posts. One entitled 'The Boogeyman' and the other was called 'Flowers In The Attic'. I loved what they said and posted a comment. Well the next day he came to my blog and slowly we just kept venturing back and forth to each other's blog posting comments. About 4 weeks later, I get an email asking if I wanted to do a joint blog with him because he said I was funny (and not lookin either damn it!). So we did that for a bit and then started corresponding by email. By the end of April we had started chatting by Yahoo Instant Messenger and that is when we became the best of friends. We had everything in common and enough differences that was just the perfect mesh. We fit. We clicked as they say. I had my first phone conversation with him in June of last year, yes a year ago this month. We talked all of the time. At the end of August, we both wanted to know if the feelings we were having for each other were real so we decided we wanted to meet and in mid-September, Michael made the trip from Texas to Missouri and we spent a wonderful 3 day weekend together. I still remember that first time I say him with my very own eyes.... I still get chills thinking about it. He left and went back home and it was after he went back (which was hard by the way. He didn't want to leave and my heart broke when he left) that we decided we wanted to make this work. So in December he brought is family and they helped him relocate up here with me. And it's been the most wonderful experience of my life. The interent brought me my best friend and the love of my life. Honestly, I have never been happier..... He makes my world brighter with a simple smile!

3. Tell us the craziest story you have ever heard on your job.

Oh Lord.... Okay I had to think about this one for a minute but here you go. A woman had called in saying she really wanted to pay her bill but she just couldn't because she was in the hospital. Yep she was actually calling from her hospital bed! And she was in the hospital because of the following: first her daughter tried to kill her and she doesn't know why because she raised her daughter to not be a killer (yes she actually said that) and then one day she was in her car and it got hit by a train which broke her legs and shortly after going home from that hospital stay she was struck in the head with an Air Conditioning unit! The whole story reminded me of a Roadrunner and Wyle E. Coyote cartoon! She was definitely the coyote!

4. Tell us what your dream vacation would be.

I would want to travel outside the US to a couple of different places. First would be Ireland. I have always wanted to visit that country. The Japanese culture has always fascinated me so that would be my next stop. But finally, I would have to go and stay in Dracula's Castle. Since as you know and as I said earlier, I have a total and complete fascination with all things scary!

5. You can choose bloggers to spend 6 months in a locked house with. Tell us who and why.

Well obviously, Blu would be my number one pick. I couldn't stay 6 months anywhere without him. He brings too much fun to my world! Plus he has a music collection to die for and he is funny as hell. Then I would pick NaughtyVoyeur because she has been my best friend for years. She is as sarcastic as myself and we do have fun when we get to see each other. Plus we have the ability to have great conversation! Next would be Miss BarDouble because I think her and I share a mind at times. So many things she says and thinks I agree with 110%. Plus, I know she is another one I could have a meaningful conversation with. Then there is Sirdar. A witty, funny and very intelligent fellow! RockDog because he would make sure we never forgot the 80's! Oh and we would never have a dull moment with him around. Aunt Jackie because she is just off the wall at times. I love her little rants and tangents. Bottom line is she makes me laugh. Scarlett because she would bring a nice artistic side to all of us. She is smart and sweet and just one cool chica. Steven Novak (even though he isn't blogging anymore) because he makes us all laugh and wonder with his off the wall true life stories. I don't think we would have a moment of boredom! And lastly would be Jason, Mr. Cigar's Coffee and Donuts. Gotta have a cop to keep us in line even though I think he would probably be as crazy as the rest of us. **snicker** There are actually several more people and its only because I enjoy reading their blogs. I like their stories and their insight.....

Now if anyone would like for me to ask them some questions, let me know and I would gladly come up with 5 of them for you! It could be fun so come on.. What do ya say????

Monday

Uh Oh.. Tagged By AJ!

Tagged Tagged Tagged - Apparently, I am IT! Thanks to Aunt Jackie that is :)

Now there are rules to this little tagging session and they are as follows:

  • I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.

  • Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

  • People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

  • At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

  • Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

  1. Some people do not realize that I actually have webbed toes. On each of my feet, the two toes next to my big toe are webbed together.

  2. There are certain shows that I will watch over and over again even if I have seen all of the episodes. Those would be Seinfeld and Family Guy. There are also a few movies that I watch everytime I see they are on like "An Affair to Remember" and "Rebecca".

  3. If I could spend my life doing a career of my choice, I would be a writer.

  4. My sisters dubbed me the 'Song Goddess' at a young age because of the way I dance around like a fool and sing when a song I really love comes on. It's my music teachers fault because they always chose me to do the damn solo's and believe it or not, I hated it!

  5. I love to have my back scratched so hard until it damn near bleeds. I know it sounds strange but it's the truth. And I love that burning feeling that always follows when its all done...AHHHHH!!!

  6. I hate it when my foods touch on my plate. Drives me batty beyond belief!

  7. I have OCD's. I have to each things like Skittles and M&M's in a "color-pleasing" order. I cannot go to sleep without checking my alarm several times and it usually starts a couple of hours before bed. I will sneak into my bedroom (so Michael doesn't notice) and will check it without anyone seeing. There are a few others but I will keep those to myself.

  8. I consider 7 and 13 my lucky numbers. In fact, I love Friday the 13th. It's always been one of my lucky days.

Now for the people who I shall be tagging........... Hmmmmmm.........

Blu... Because he has too and because he loves me and I know he will give in and do it!

NaughtyVoyeur... Cuz she is my best friend and I know how much she loves doing this stuff!

Sirdar... Cuz he is a rather interesting fellow and I want to hear some quirky little details about him!

Scarlett... Cuz she is one Cool Chica!

BarDouble... Cuz I swear this girl is like my twin sometimes! We think too much alike :)

Jason, oh Yes Mr. Cigar's Coffee and Donuts! You are being tagged!

And Birdman33... Only because he makes me laugh everytime I read his blog.

So there you go bitches... You all have been tagged! **snicker**

Sunday

Happy Father's Day

"Fatherhood is an adventure that takes you places you never knew existed and
provides you some of life's greatest joys."

Happy Father's Day to all of the Wonderful Dad's out there! You know who you are! Those dad's who take the time to sit down and talk to their children, show them right from wrong, play with them all while always keeping in mind that showering them with hugs and kisses is one of the most Manly things you could ever do!

I especially have to wish My Michael a Happy Father's Day for being a Terrific Father to My Son. You are showing him things he never knew and teaching him how to grow into a Wonderful Man. Saying Thank you doesn't even begin to show you exactly how much I truly appreciate you being in our lives..... I Love You Always.....

Caleb- i love you ty for everything you have evr done!!! <---Words from the heart :)

Thursday

Dining Ala Commode???

Today I was feeling very very sick. Don't know why buy nausea is kicking my ass today. **Sigh** But while looking around the net, I found a rather unique restaurant I just may have to visit one day....

In the Southern Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung, guests of Martun's Restaurant are seated upon the most royal of thrones...... A Toilet..... Martun is Chinese for Toilet by the way... It isn't just the seating that makes the restaurant different but you food is served up in toilet bowls of both Asian and Western styles.... Apparently, this has been around awhile and I have just never seen it before and it's so popular, they have opened up a second restaurant :) Nice!

I am curious, what do you do when you actually have to use the toilet? As long as they don't bring you out a roll of toilet paper and say have fun, its all good..... Right????

30 Days of Night

In a sleepy, secluded Alaska town called Barrow, the sun sets and doesn't rise for over thirty consecutive days and nights. From the darkness, across the frozen wasteland, an evil will come that will bring the residents of Barrow to their knees. The only hope for the town is the Sheriff and Deputy, a husband and wife who are torn between their own survival and saving the town they love.

Now how is someone who loves the sick and twisted supposed to wait patiently for October to come around to see this movie??? I will be clinically and certifiably insane by that point. Remember nothing says good old fashioned family fun like living in a town of unleashed vampires during 30 days of darkness!!!

Now I am excited about this:

From acclaimed musician and filmmaker, Rob Zombie ("The Devil's Rejects," "House of 1000 Corpses") comes an entirely new take on the highly successful and terrifying Halloween legacy that began in 1978. While revealing a new chapter in the established Michael Myers saga, the film will surprise both classic and modern horror fans with a departure from prior films in the Halloween franchise. Audiences should brace themselves for unprecedented fear as Zombie turns back time to uncover the making of a pathologically disturbed, even cursed child named Michael Myers.

And this comes out August 31st! I will have to go and see it as a late birthday present to myself :)

Wednesday

Only A Man....

I got this in my email and its obviously written by a man....

Tuesday

Why Do I Love Him???

My long wait has finally come to a screeching halt as Gordon Ramsey reopened Hell's Kitchen last night. Why do I love this Man? WHY? WHY? WHY?

Is it his uncontrollable tirades and very blantant use of the word 'Fuck'? Is it that glazed-over look of a madman he gets in those eyes as he screams at the contestants on the show? Or maybe its the way he so eloquently takes a bite of someones food and gracefully calls it 'shit' and spits it out.

Whatever the case, I am so excited to have the madman back! All Hail Gordon Ramsey and Hell's Kitchen! Anyway, it's much better than the Sopranos ending.......

Monday

It's official... We are in our new place and we love it! Today we finally got the home phone, cable and Internet all hooked up so I feel like we are back in touch with the rest of the world again and its about time.

We have fallen in love with this new place!!! We have almost everything unpacked which makes it that much nicer. I hate living out of boxes. UGH!!!!

We have had a few issues with moving. For one, we had to get rid of our dog because they don't allow dos of his size here. Giving up Loco was so hard. I love that Dog! My son took it much better than I thought it would. I mean this past couple of years we have made so many changes in our lives that this was just one more thing to add to the pile of craziness we have endured. But he knows Loco is in a good place and will be loved and happy.

As for Michael and myself, well we are more than happy. In fact, this move has been so good for us. We were already doing great but it just seems we are even happier now. Does that make sense? We have a great life together and it only gets better as each day passes. I am so blessed to have a wonderful man like this in my life.

And to top it all off, I now work with my best friend. Michael started working in the collections business about 3 weeks ago and you know what? He is a FIEND!!! And I thought I was a good collector. He makes me look like an amateur with the amount of money he is collecting. It's insane! He has managers fighting over him in departments and it just blows my mind. And to think this is a man who truly thought he would not be good at this job let alone like it and now he has completely changed his tune. The funny thing is that they put him in my department. So not only do we share a life together outside of work but now we work together. Alot of people couldn't do it and honestly, neither of us thought we could either but we are making it work. We keep it very professional. You know, no sex in the conference room...stuff like that :) **snicker** Seriously, we are both there to work and that is exactly what we do. Work comes before anything else. We do share our lunch break and the occasional sneak outside for a smoke but other than that, we try not to get into each other's business and its working out really well.

Work for me is spectacular! I think I mentioned we have the potential to bonus here and I did just that! I am so fucking excited I can't stand it! How much will my bonus be? I really don't know but it should be a fairly hefty one! I knew the possibility to make money but until you bonus you really don't see it so needless to say, I am ecstatic! And at the rate Michael is going, he will bonus his first month out. DAMN!!!! I am so proud of the both of us!

Well that's about it for now. I am going to sit and enjoy my cable for awhile and surf the net since its been so long since I have done that.

Take care everyone!
